What are you doing to improve the fulfillment process?
The 2025 Bookshelves for Bibliophiles campaign was Max’s largest crowdfunding yet and he’s hoping for an even bigger project this year! To minimize shipping delays, this campaign has budgeted some additional funds to pay other local artist(s) to assist with fulfillment. More pairs of hands will hopefully mean quicker grading, packaging, and fulfillment of campaign rewards.

How does the Librarian tier work?
As a Librarian backer, you’ll get to help curate the collection for your fellow pin enthusiasts! This pledge tier includes 1 Bookshelf Mini Pin, 1 3” vinyl sticker of your custom design, and all eligible freebies.
How it works: 1. Towards the end of the campaign, you will receive the link to a short survey. This is where you’ll name a new genre and can share your ideas for books, references, colors, and other design elements.
-
Max will review your form, research the genre, and create a brand new Bookshelf Mini Pin based on your ideas.
-
The new genre will become available to all backers during the post-campaign Backer Survey!
Logistical notes and restrictions: You must complete the form and fix any “failed payment” errors for your pledge by 3/1/2026 or your pledge will be cancelled.
The custom pin design will match the style and level of detail of the rest of the Bookshelves for Bibliophiles collection.
Although you get to provide input, the final design of the pin will be at Max’s discretion. There is no grantee that all of the ideas and references you provide will be able to make it into the final design.
Designs will include references, but will not include intellectual property in a way that constitutes anything other than “fan art.”
Made by Max Designs is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Max reserves the right to decline requests and/or cancel pledges if they do not align with the values and themes of his brand.

How does the Publisher tier work?
As a Publisher, you’ll get to work with Max to create a completely custom and exclusive run of bookshelf pins! This pledge tier includes 30 custom Bookshelf Mini Pins, 10 3” vinyl stickers of your bookshelf design, and all eligible freebies. All Publisher tier designs will use the same template mold, but the designs for each element will be fully customizable through screen-printing. How it works: 1. Towards the end of the campaign, you will receive the link to a short survey. This is where you’ll get to share your ideas for your custom bookshelf pins. You will be prompted to provide ideals for colors, themes, references/iconography, and any text you want include on your pins. You will also have the option to upload or email reference images. You may use up to 8 enamel colors and 2 screen printing colors for your design. You can also request metallic gold or silver colored metal instead of the standard black.
-
Once you submit your form, Max will begin designing your custom pins. You will have two opportunities to review the design and provide feedback. First review: You will be provided with a digital sketch of the design and a color pallet to provide feedback on. This will be the ideal time to catch any miscommunications and ensure the bookshelf layout is to your liking before Max continues with linework. Second review: You may provide feedback and request minor color and design adjustments. Additional reviews: major revisions/redraws after the second review is approved may require an additional $20 redesign fee.
-
You will receive a full run of 30 pins, made just for you! You will have the option to purchase additional pins during the post-campaign survey.
Logistical notes and restrictions: You must complete the form and fix any “failed payment” errors for your pledge by 3/1/2026 or your pledge will be cancelled.
The custom pin design will match the style and level of detail of the rest of the Bookshelves for Bibliophiles collection. The designs on these pins will be screen printed, which means that small details may need to be adjusted based on manufacturer feedback. Because of the manufacturing process, colors may also vary slightly on the finished designs. If you have specific brand colors incorporated into the design, please provide pantone keys for reference.
Designs can include references, but will not include intellectual property in a way that constitutes anything other than “fan art.” Exceptions to this rule can be made if you are the owner of the intellectual property and authorize its use (example: you’re an author and want exact iconography from your books included).

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
